Cookie Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This policy explains the cookies the WBS Guardianship website, family portal and staff application set, and why. The short version: we use only the cookies needed to make the services work — nothing for advertising or tracking.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in.
2. The cookies we use
We set essential cookies only:
- Authentication — secure session cookies (prefixed sb-) that keep you signed in to the portal or staff application.
- Language — a preference cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers whether you chose English or 中文.
- Security — cookies that protect sign-in and session integrity.
3. What we don't use
We do not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies or any third-party tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because every cookie we set is essential, blocking them will stop you signing in — the public website will still work.
5. Changes and contact
We will post any changes here and update the date at the top. Questions: guardians@whichbritishschool.com.
